Walking at sunrise or sunset can be peaceful and invigorating for both the body and the soul. But low-light conditions can be dangerous. Here are a couple of tips from Shadduck Insurance to stay safe while enjoying your walk.
Wear light or white clothing so you are easily visible to drivers. Fluorescent colors actually appear dark in low light.
Choose shoes, jackets and safety vests with retro-reflective patches that shine in headlights.
Carry a flashlight and keep it on so drivers will see it.
Remove your sunglasses at dusk so you can see anything that might threaten you.
